Over 800 supply chain leaders from the world’s largest organizations will come together in Chicago on June 1 for the Reuters Events Supply Chain Execution forum, where they will discuss the urgent need to re-engineer the global logistics industry as it faces continuing pressure in the wake of the pandemic.

Global logistics networks have faced a challenging two years due to the outbreak of COVID-19, resulting in an unprecedented confluence of demand surges and supply constraints. This tumultuous period for the industry has seen companies of all sizes struggle to get products into the hands of their customers.

Across two days, the Reuters Events Supply Chain Execution forum will unite supply chain leaders from industries including retail, food & beverage, apparel, technology and logistics to focus on solutions to unlock logistics capacity, drive innovation and revolutionize supply chain execution.

Nicholas Stylianou, Head of Supply Chain Research at Reuters Events said: “Two years ago, logistics networks were taken for granted. The pandemic has upended the logistics industry due to a unique set of demand and supply challenges. For many companies, this has brought logistics into the spotlight, becoming a boardroom conversation. It is more important than ever for executives from across industries to come together, share ideas and plan collective strategies to overcome universal logistics challenges”.

To facilitate this seismic shift for the logistics industry, Reuters Events has built the forum around four critical themes: Risk Management, Network Optimization, Manage Shortages and Innovation, Collaboration & Culture.
