Afghans continue wait outside Kabul airport, gunshots heard

A video released by Afghan-based Aamaj News Agency shows Afghans still waiting for evacuation at Kabul airport on Sunday (August 22), while gunshots were heard in the distance.

Earlier on Sunday, witnesses had said the Taliban fired in the air and used batons to make people line up in orderly queues, however Reuters could not independently verify if these gunshots were fired in the same instance.

No major injuries were reported and long lines of people were being formed, witnesses added.
