Reuters brand campaign ‘The Source’ wins World Media Award

Reuters, the world’s leading provider of trusted news, insight and analysis, has received a prestigious World Media Award for its brand campaign, “The Source.”  

The campaign won the Media & Entertainment category award, which recognizes global storytelling and engagement by an international media brand. 

“The Source” – Reuters first major global brand campaign — was launched in September 2021 and reinforces Reuters unique and vital role as an indispensable source for truths about our world. The campaign brings Reuters into the spotlight to demonstrate what has long been a pillar of its philosophy: to “tell all sides of a story but take none,” reporting the news with independence, integrity and freedom from bias. 

Created by brand and customer experience agency VMLY&R, in partnership with Reuters Plus, the brand marketing studio of Reuters, ‘The Source’ campaign builds on Reuters reputation as one of the world’s most trusted news outlets. It draws on the strength of Reuters multimedia, video and photojournalism to cement the brand visually, including a film and out-of-home advertising to illustrate what Reuters does best — bringing news and insights to billions of people every day to power smart decisions. 

The campaign reinforces Reuters central role in the news ecosystem: with a unique model that serves the world’s media organizations (where the news gets the news), financial market professionals via its relationship with LSEG Refinitiv, and professional and globally minded individuals directly through Reuters.com, Reuters Events and Reuters Insight.
