This week, as Canada and the U.S. Northwest faced both record-setting temperatures and raging wildfires, Reuters journalists were on the ground delivering extensive visuals coverage for customers. From evacuations in Western Canada to wildfires lighting up a freeway in Southern California, Reuters video of the crises facing the U.S. and Canada was used more than 3,000 times as customers looked for the range and depth that only Reuters can provide.

With extreme weather events taking place around the world, Reuters coverage went far beyond the U.S. and Canada. Reuters environmental video stories this week included 12 different datelines across eight countries and three continents, with more than 30 video edits used by more than a thousand broadcasters. The coverage reached millions on social media alone.

Reuters has been at the cutting edge of these environmental stories, where the temperatures are rising, the hurricanes blowing and the coastlines eroding. With an unmatched global reach and the spread of locations, Reuters remains at the forefront of coverage of the global climate crisis.

With 2500 journalists in 200 locations around the world, Reuters has the ability to deliver fast and first coverage of the most crucial news events that customers need. For more of Reuters climate change and environmental coverage, visit Reuters.com.
