Reuters launches 24/7 video news channel on Rakuten TV in Europe

Reuters, the world’s largest multimedia news provider, announced today the launch of a video news channel on Rakuten TV, for users across Europe. Reuters global news coverage, produced by 2,500 journalists in 200 locations around the world, will be available in English for streaming in 40+ European territories, including the France, Germany, Italy, Nordics, The Netherlands, Spain and United Kingdom.   

Rakuten TV users will have access to Reuters trusted and impartial news content 24 hours a day and seven days a week, updated throughout the day to feature the most important news stories of the moment across breaking news, business, politics, entertainment and more.

Reuters global video coverage will be available around the clock in 30-minute feeds, enabling Rakuten TV users to consume the most important news reports from around the world. Reuters news will feature packaged video segments, with each story presented in 2- to 3-minute clips.   

The latest launch on Rakuten TV builds on Reuters extensive OTT offering, which includes dedicated Reuters channels on Roku and Plex and on audio devices including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
