Reuters exclusively reports U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission chair to resign early next year

Reuters reported exclusively that the chair of the U.S. derivatives market regulator, Heath Tarbert, will resign early next year when Democratic President-elect Joe Biden designates an acting agency head, ensuring a “smooth transition.” Tarbert, who lawyers say has led an unusually active rule-making agenda, told Reuters in an interview that he expects to stay on as a commissioner while he finalizes his plans.
