Reuters first to report Canada’s Ontario to expand use of AstraZeneca COVID vaccine as epidemic rages

Reuters was first to report that the Canadian province of Ontario will begin offering AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine to people above the age of 40, dropping the age bracket to 55 and above. Citing a source government, Reuters story also said that the people in the new age group will start getting the vaccination from Tuesday, which would broaden the access to shots just as Canada’s most populous province was dealing with a punishing third wave of infections. The provincial government confirmed Reuters scoop later in the day.
