Reuters first to report regulators think Boeing 737 MAX ungrounding could come before mid-yr; market reacts

Reuters was first to report that Federal Aviation Administrator Steve Dickson has called senior U.S. airline officials and told them the agency could approve the Boeing 737 MAX’s return to service before mid-year. Dickson’s calls come days after Boeing said it was pushing back its timeline for approval of the plane’s return and its own estimate that the ungrounding wouldn’t happen until June/July. Boeing shares rose 4 percent on the news.
