Reuters reveals U.S. Post Office to pause operational reforms after outcry ahead of election

Reuters was first to report on Tuesday that U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy will suspend all operational reforms and initiatives at the Post Office until after the election, reversing a policy that had drawn criticism from around the country because it threatened to impact the delivery of results for the November presidential election. DeJoy said changes are to “avoid even the appearance of any impact on election mail,” according to the draft statement seen by Reuters.
