More than 15 years after the term was first coined, podcasting has become one of the hottest topics in media. Whilst the format is enjoying unprecedented growth, news podcasts make up just 6% of the existing podcasts (as categorized by Apple).
Whilst news podcasts have yet to reach their full potential, pundits feel there is still significant room for growth thanks to consumers continued appetite for voice, but the scale of the opportunity remains unclear.
