Reuters Exclusive: Inside the UAE’s secret hacking team of American mercenaries

Reuters released an exclusive special report revealing a United Arab Emirates cyber-surveillance program known by the code name Project Raven, in which former U.S. intelligence operatives working on behalf of the Arab monarchy hacked into the communications of foes – including rivals, dissidents and journalists. Nine former Raven operatives and thousands of pages of product documents and emails revealed how surveillance techniques taught by the NSA were central to the UAE’s efforts to monitor opponents
