Reuters exclusively reported that Spanish oil major Repsol was considering selling some of its Canadian energy assets in a deal that could fetch about C$750 million as it seeks to benefit from the big run-up in oil prices. Repsol is seeking buyers for its holdings in the Duvernay basin in western Canada, though no final decision has been made. Separately, Reuters also reported that Crescent Point Energy has put some of its non-core assets up for sale, in a deal valued at about C$500 million. Crescent is offering the assets for sale in three separate packages, Reuters reported, citing marketing documents with a combined 10,554 barrels of oil equivalent of per day production in the fourth quarter.
