Reuters first to report India lines up Lockheed military helicopter deal ahead of Trump visit

Reuters broke news of a $2.6 billion military helicopter deal that India has lined up with U.S. defense firm Lockheed Martin ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s first official visit to the country later this month. India is pulling out all the stops for the Trump visit and the deal for 24 Seahawk naval helicopters equipped with Hellfire missiles is intended to be a sweetener for Trump, who is pushing for greater market access to India.
