Reuters reveals Apple in talks with potential suppliers of sensors for self-driving cars

Reuters reported exclusively on how Apple Inc has held talks with at least four companies as possible suppliers for next-generation lidar sensors in self-driving cars. Apple has renewed ambitions to enter the autonomous vehicle marketplace, and the move comes as it has sharply increased its road testing while bringing on key hires from Tesla Inc and Alphabet Inc’s Google.
