Reuters Exclusive: Anadarko to pursue deal talks with Occidental Petroleum

Reuters was first to report that Anadarko Petroleum Corp, the U.S. oil and gas exploration and production company that had agreed to sell itself to Chevron Corp for $33 billion, decided to begin negotiations to sell itself to Occidental Petroleum Corp instead. The companies confirmed the move the following day.
