Reuters Exclusive: White House considers barring Huawei, ZTE purchases

Reuters exclusively reported that the White House was considering a new executive order to bar U.S. companies from using equipment made by Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE Corp. It would be the latest step by the Trump administration to cut two of China’s biggest network equipment companies out of the U.S. market. The U.S. says the companies work at the behest of the Chinese government, adding that their equipment could be used to spy on Americans.
