Reuters was first to report that Airbnb is laying off 25% of its workforce due to the coronavirus pandemic, impacting nearly 1,900 employees of the home rental startup, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. The impacted employees will receive a four-month pay package, accelerated equity vesting and health insurance for a year. Airbnb founder Brian Chesky said in a company blog post that Airbnb’s business has been hit hard, with revenue this year forecasted to be less than half of what they earned in 2019
