UN says aid reductions in Myanmar’s Rakhine impact "at least 50,000 people"

Reuters exclusively revealed a United Nations internal note that said new government curbs on aid activities in Myanmar’s Rakhine State “are affecting at least 50,000 people," highlighting the growing impact of recent fighting on the civilian population. The Rakhine State government recently blocked non-governmental organizations and U.N. agencies from traveling to rural areas in five townships in northern and central parts of the state affected by conflict.
