Reuters first to report India’s Petronet to sign $2.5 billion LNG deal with U.S. developer Tellurian

Reuters broke news of a $2.5 billion deal between India’s Petronet LNG and U.S.-based Tellurian Inc on September 20, a day before it was signed in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The deal, which is the biggest yet in the energy sector between the two countries, was the first concrete outcome of a meeting between the two leaders as they seek to get past trade frictions.
