UAW to announce it has made real progress with Ford in labor talks

Reuters was first to report that the United Auto Workers (UAW) was set to announce it had made real progress with Ford in the labor talks the auto workers union is having with the Detroit Three automakers. The news, which signaled a key turning point in the negotiations of the most-closely watched US strike in years, lifted Ford’s shares more than 4% after the market opened. GM shares also rose. Reuters reported it ahead of the UAW press conference in which it updated talks.
